What Academy is

Academy is an app for communities on Whop: a feed, courses, events, levels and a leaderboard. Creators install it into their whop; members use it inside Whop or on the community’s own web address.

Accounts

You sign in with your Whop account. Whop decides who has access to a community; Academy checks that with Whop every time.

Your content

• What you post stays yours. You let Academy store it and show it to the members of that community.
• Creators are responsible for their community and its rules, and can edit or remove content and ban members there.
• Don’t post anything illegal, hateful, or that infringes someone else’s rights. Anyone can report content to the community’s admins.

For creators

• Plans and prices are shown in the app before you choose one. Billing runs through Whop, which handles payment and receipts. You can cancel through Whop at any time; the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
• If a payment fails, Academy keeps working. We never lock you out of your own community over billing.
• When you import from another platform or invite members, you confirm you are allowed to move that content and contact those people. Invite emails carry an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribed addresses are never emailed again.

Availability

We work to keep Academy running and back up its data every night, but we can’t promise it will never be interrupted.

Liability

Academy is provided as is. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer. Beyond that, our liability is limited to what you paid us for Academy in the last 12 months.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we say so in the app before it takes effect.

Law

Danish law applies. As a consumer you can also rely on the law where you live, and complain to the Danish Consumer Complaints Board.
